- The Discourse Chronicles the Tapestry of “Viksit Bharat Shrestha Bharat’’.
Introduction
On the auspicious occasion of BHU's Foundation Day on February 14, 2024, the campus reverberated with the spirit of Viksit Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, a theme that echoed across more than 30 faculties. This report, presented by the Discourse Society, encapsulates the vibrant narratives woven by each faculty around the central theme.
VC and Chief Guest
The judging committee for the Jhanki competition, presided over by the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain, brought a wealth of experience and discernment to the event. Their expertise added a significant layer of evaluation, ensuring that the essence of Viksit Bharat Shreshtha Bharat was effectively portrayed. The presence of Professor Panjab Singh, the first and incumbent Chancellor of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, as the chief guest, added a distinguished touch to the
proceedings. Professor Singh's profound knowledge and eminence in the field
undoubtedly contributed to the meticulous assessment of each Jhanki, aligning with the ethos of BHU's commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.

The opening Jhanki, a canvas of cultural richness, unfolded the diverse expressions of Viksit Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, symbolizing the collective progress and excellence envisioned by each faculty. The timeline not only celebrated shared heritage but also showcased the unique contributions of each faculty towards the theme.

performed various types of top notch performance of various sports.

The Social Sciences Jhaaki, under the central theme of Building Inclusivity, beautifully weaved together diverse models highlighting key aspects of democracy, well-being, sustainable development, and India's global standing.
Skit highlights: FSS
In the skit's starting scenes, EVM and blind transgender, men, women, and a female
politician illustrated equality and women empowerment. Scene 2 depicted inter-
community conflicts resolved by Ambedkar, fostering unity through the constitution. Scene 3 delved into the digital economy through a conversation between a farmer father and daughter. Scene 4 highlighted a depressed boy grappling with career confusion. Scene 5 showcased culture and history, and in Scene 6, Bharat Mata emerged to unite
everyone.
The Discourse Inclusive Participation
Members of The Discourse actively contributed to the rich tapestry of the Social Sciences Faculty, aligning with the theme of inclusivity, progress, and unity.
Collective Endeavor
