𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮'𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 : 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗢𝗣𝟮𝟴 - Discussion Session


The Discourse society feels proud to announce about yet another successful conduction of a Special Discussion Session on the topic “'𝕀𝕟𝕕𝕚𝕒'𝕤 𝔾𝕣𝕠𝕨𝕚𝕟𝕘 ℝ𝕠𝕝𝕖 𝕚𝕟 ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕓𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 ℂ𝕝𝕚𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕖 ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖: 𝕋𝕒𝕝𝕜𝕤 𝕚𝕟 𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 ℂ𝕆ℙ 𝟚8 [2023]” on December 9th, 2023, wherein enthusiasts from different faculties and affiliated colleges registered their participation.

The session commenced with a Welcome speech by the Prof. M.K Mishra, Coordinator, MCPR in the house who gave us insights regarding history of Earth, major ice ages, natural calamities, Jurassic age, human evolution etc. and gave a broader perspective to look at issues of climate change.

Further the session was carried by a brief outline of the topic, which included the minute details of the COP28 meeting held this year, historical background of the meetings, global climate change, environmental politics etc. Further the discussion moved to detailing of subtopics mentioned above and almost everyone was giving their inputs and remarks. Participants shared their thoughts on India's commitment and contributions to Global sustainable development, its target to reach net
zero emissions by 2070, the relevance of COP summits to countering global warming, and its objectives of reaching out for a better globe. Discussion also included the history of COP summits and their effectiveness in countering global carbon emission problems. The feasibility of India’s past decisions and its ability to develop while taking care of global environmental issues were considered at the last stage of the discussion.

The discussion concluded with a call for action. The participants agreed that climate change is a serious threat to the planet, and it is important to take action to address it. They called on all countries to come together and agree on a common goal, and to develop a clear roadmap for achieving that goal.

The discussion was lively and engaging, and it provided a valuable opportunity for participants to share their thoughts on a critical issue. The participants' insights and recommendations will be valuable in shaping future efforts to combat climate change.
