The esteemed corridors of Banaras Hindu University reverberated with intellectual enthusiasm during a two-day workshop enchanted by the effort The Discourse Society's affirmation and the proactive participation of students of Faculty of Social Sciences featuring renowned scholars and experts across diverse disciplines. Held on 29th and 30th November, the event underscored the faculty's unwavering commitment to cultivating academic excellence and fostering a culture of insightful dialogue.
Highlights of the Workshop:
The workshop commenced with an inspiring Inauguration Ceremony, beginning with the university's kulgeet. The ceremony included the lighting of candles and the garlanding of Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya by the Head of Department, Sh. O.P. Bharatiya, who was felicitated with a plant sapling.
29th November, 2023:
The workshop was enraptured by the illuminating insights of Dr. Bagisha Suman on Political Science and the captivating exploration of Geography by Dr. Seema Rani. Prof. C.D. Adhikary delved into the complexities of society in the Sociology session starting at 02:30 PM.
Day 2 - 30th November, 2023:
Prof. Sandeep Kumar explored the intricate workings of the human mind with his session on Psychology. Prof. Rakesh Raman illuminated the economic landscape in the Economics session.
The workshop concluded with a profound History session by Prof. Dhrub Kumar Singh, captivating the audience from 02:30 PM.
The event reached its pinnacle with the Valedictory Ceremony at 03:00 PM, where participants and scholars graced by the wordings of Dr. Rajeev Dubey Sir [Faculty Student Advisor] and Prof. M. Mishra [ HOD, Economics Dept] gathered for closing remarks, reflecting on the enriching workshop experience.
